Check in/out: Check-in time is 4 PM – 10 PM and check out by 10 AM. Early check ins or late check outs will be granted provided that we don’t have another booking checking out or arriving on the same day. The villa is very large and takes several hours to clean so please understand if we are unable to grant your request. Our live-in staff will greet you on arrival and give you a house tour, including a reading of the electric meter.
Registration: Passports from all guests will be collected for registration with the local authorities. These will be returned to you during your stay. One passport will be held during throughout your stay, as a security deposit, until any additional services and the final electric bill has been settled.
Guest numbers: Only registered guests are permitted to stay overnight at the villa. Please communicate before arrival if your guest numbers have increased or decreased. Additional guests on arrival will be charged at a rate of $50US per night. Children over the age of 3 will be counted as guests, unless they are sharing a bed with their parents. We may be able to accommodate higher numbers depending on your adult to child ratio, but please inquire directly to confirm. We have 2 baby cots available.
Housekeeping: During your stay our live-in staff will provide once-daily housekeeping of the guest rooms and sweeping/tidying of the common areas. The housekeeping staff are not responsible for cleaning up the kitchen and doing your dishes throughout the day UNLESS you are using the paid chef services or cleanup services. Details on available services are outlined below.
Loud Music: We want you to enjoy your stay but please keep in mind that this is a residential estate and therefore the playing of loud music on the main terrace is prohibited after 11pm. After 11pm, music can be played on the pool level as this is less disruptive to our neighbours.
Events: We do allow events and weddings at this villa, but an event fee will apply. Please inquire directly for details.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all guest rooms and enclosed areas. Please use the designated areas on the terrace. In the case of non-compliance with the rule or fire damage, the guest is fully liable. The cost for a special cleaning is 10,000 Baht per room. They must also reimburse any costs for non-usability of the space.
Villa Safety: Please note that Baan Chuddanip is a very large villa with many stairs and heights. Care is required to ensure your safety during your stay. Please supervise your children throughout the villa. Excessive alcohol consumption puts you and the lives of your fellow travelers in danger. Please exercise moderation, especially while using the swimming pool. Climbing or playing in the trough along the infinity edge of the pool is strictly prohibited. Glassware is not permitted on the pool level or in the pool. Please use the rubber coolers for your glass bottles and plastic glasses provided.
Conservation: Koh Samui is a small island with limited resources. Please help us to prevent burdening the environment unnecessarily.
Water: Baan Chuddanip is unique in that we collect the rainwater than falls on our roof and filter it for use in the villa. However, when there is no rain for extended periods of time, water must be trucked daily by large diesel trucks. This is both expensive and damaging to the environment. As an Island, our water supply can be limited in the dry season so please use it with moderation. We provide drinking water dispensers in each kitchen to help reduce your single-use plastic bottle consumption while on Samui.
Garbage/Recycling: Please dispose your garbage and recycling in the containers provided.
Aircon/Electric Charge: Currently the electric charges are included in the nightly rate. Please only use the air conditioner when you are in the room and the doors and windows are all closed. Running the air-conditioning excessively is bad for the environment, and causes wear and tear on the air conditioning units. Each room has a ceiling fan and a portable stand up fan as a more eco-friendly option.
Bedding/Towels: Sheets and bedding will be changed every 5th day, unless otherwise requested. Towels will be replaced as required. Please hang up the towels you intend to use again. Separate towels are provided for pool and/or beach use.
